Is variety really spice of life? The mobile phone manufacturers at Nokia seem to think so.
If there is one mobile company which does not hesitate in coming up with unique designs to suit every possible taste of the consumers that they have from around the world, that is none other than Nokia.
Whether you are looking for a run-of-the-mill mobile phone which has just the basic features and will perfectly fit your budget, they have it. If you are looking for a middle-range phone with middle-range features, check out the mobile phone deals which offer Nokia mobile phones and you will surely find the one that you are looking for.
Similarly, if high-end mobile phone with a complete line of features is what you need for several applications and full-functionality, Nokia has a line of mobile phone units to suit your lifestyle.
Now, if you are looking for a sleekly-designed, fashionable phone - then one of the models under the Nokia Prism collection may just be the thing for you.
Nokia 7900 Prism Review: A Closer Look at the Design
When you analyze the look and the design of the Nokia 7900 Prism mobile phone, it is definitely a cut above the rest. Let us start with the fact that the shape of the keypad is less than conventional. Have you ever heard of triangular buttons?
That's exactly what the Nokia 7900 Prism has: each button on the keypad is triangular in shape - and when you see them all together - it truly makes for one of the most interesting features of the phone.
This unique keypad is part of the Nokia 7900 Prism's thin body - it's only 11 millimeters thick. However, the shape of the keypad may just be the bane of the Nokia 7900 Prism's otherwise edgy design: it's pretty difficult to navigate through.
Nokia 7900 Prism Review: How about the Features?
If you can overlook the unreliability of the keypad - the Nokia 7900 Prism is an otherwise great-looking phone with average features.
The 2-inch screen display has 16-million colors - which looks exquisite under low light. However, you may not exactly like it under brightly-lit conditions.
The built-in camera is mediocre - it's 2-Megapixel with 8x digital zoom and flash. Next, there's the spacious 1GB internal memory. There is no memory card slot, though.
The Nokia 7900 Prism also uses the Nokia S40 user interface. There are a lot of rich applications preloaded on the phone - such as moving wallpapers and configurable backlighting color and effects.
All the music lovers out there will be able to hear their MP3, MIDI, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA media files quite nicely because the Nokia 7900 Prism has a good enough music player.
All in all, the downside that you need to sacrifice for the great design is the poor usability of the keypad, the screen which is a virtual fingerprint magnet - and its unsatisfactory video recording solution.
Other than that, the Nokia 7900 Prism is as good a fashion phone as you can get.
